Chocolate milkshake

Sometimes you just want a chocolate milkshake. Thick, chocolatey goodness. And I've found a way to drink it without the guilt of ice cream, truly! One could drink this everyday, if one wanted. What with chocolate having antioxidants and vitamin B12 from the milk (although you could use almond or soy milk), and potassium from banana, try telling me it's unhealthy!

Yes, I did say banana, and I know what you're thinking, but you can hardly taste it with all the cocoa going on in there, and crunch from the cocoa nibs. I love cocoa nibs -- they are unsweetened roasted cocoa beans. Their texture is like a chocolate chip but crunchier, really delicious! The sweetness in this milkshake comes through from the banana, but if you really want to, you can add some melted chocolate or sugar to it.

So if you're looking for something naturally sweet after dinner and don't want to eat something fattening, here is your treat!

Chocolate milkshake
Serves 2
1 large frozen banana, chopped
1 1/2 cups milk of your choice
1 tbs good-quality unsweetened cocoa
1 tbs cocoa nibs
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Grind all in a blender or magic bullet. Enjoy!
